Job Description:
Commercial M&A Analyst
Fully Remote | Office presence circa once a month in London / Home Counties
Up to £60,000 base + 20% to 30% bonus + £2,000 flexible benefits fund
A high growth, Private Equity backed healthcare platform is looking to appoint a Commercial M&A Analyst into its central deal team.
This is an acquisitive group executing a consistent buy and build strategy, with a clear long term value creation plan. Deal flow is active and ongoing, with multiple transactions completing each year and a strong live pipeline.
The role sits within the Commercial M&A function and works directly alongside deal originators and the financial due diligence team. It is commercially focused and modelling led, sitting at the centre of transaction decision making.
This is not a reporting role. It is not technical accounting. It is hands on commercial modelling in live transactions.
The Role
• Building and refining financial models to support acquisitions, mergers, shared ownership and joint venture partnerships
• Producing forecasts and projections to inform pricing and deal structuring
• Conducting detailed valuations using agreed methodologies
• Running sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling to shape commercial outcomes
• Supporting investment committee materials and presenting clear, concise outputs
• Managing and maintaining M&A pipeline data through the CRM system
• Partnering with deal originators on commercial finance matters
• Supporting ad hoc strategic analysis and working closely with Private Equity stakeholders
You will have exposure across the full deal lifecycle, from early stage valuation through to financial due diligence input and investment approval.
The Person
• Highly analytical with advanced Excel capability
• Strong understanding of financial statements and how they are constructed
• Confident building and adapting financial models
• Experience in forecasting, scenario modelling and project based analysis
• Commercially minded and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
• Organised, detail focused and able to manage multiple live projects
Experience within an M&A, transaction services, corporate finance or in house M&A environment would be advantageous, but strong modelling capability is the key requirement.
Location
Fully remote, with office presence circa once a month in London or the Home Counties for meetings and deal activity.
Package
• Up to £60,000 base salary
• Bonus typically 20% to 30% of basic salary
• £2,000 flexible benefits allowance
• Exposure to Private Equity and live transaction activity
• Clear visibility across a growing, acquisitive platform
If you want genuine deal exposure, commercial ownership and a seat at the table within an active PE backed environment, this is worth exploring.
Apply in confidence for a further discussion.
