Malloy Aeronautics Limited specializes in the development of heavy lift unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) for both civilian and military uses. Located in Berkshire, our operations are notable for their focus on in-house design and manufacturing. This vertical integration means we control the production of most aircraft components on-site, enhancing our ability to innovate and maintain high standards across all stages of development.
About The Role:
We are seeking a Junior Buyer, solutions-driven individual with a previous experience in materials purchasing. Is desirable The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement activities within an Excel/MRP/ERP environment and will work effectively across cross-functional teams. You should possess purchasing experience and knowledge. Communication skills are key to our daily activities and you will be required to interact seamlessly at all levels of the business.
Strong organizational and time management abilities are essential.
You’ll work closely with Supply Chain manager on specific projects for the business. There may be a requirement to support the procurement team in purchasing goods and services and may be required to liase with production, quality, and engineering teams to align procurement activities with the production schedule, ensuring lead times meet organizational goals. Success in this role requires attention to detail, positive attitude, , and effective communication to integrate procurement with overall business objectives.


Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK
What you’ll being doing (but not limited too):
*SAP integration activities & Data Analysis
*Process purchase requisitions and raise purchase orders.
*Monitor delivery performance and resolve supplier issues.
*Maintain accurate records for procurement documentation and supplier contracts.
*Support invoice reconciliation with finance and accounts payable.
*Ensure compliance with procurement policies, export controls, and quality standards.
*Monitor inventory levels and place orders to prevent stockouts while avoiding overstocking.
*Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to align procurement with production schedules and quality standards.
Essential Skills and Experiences:
*Some experience in a purchasing / administrative / supply chain role (internship, graduate scheme, or junior position).
*Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and willingness to learn ERP systems. Experienced in SAP/ MRP systems would be an advantage.
*Proactive in resolving issues and managing performance.
*Ability to prioritise tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
*Excellent numerical, analytical, and technical skills.
*Efficient in time management and multitasking.
*Independent, results-driven, and collaborative.
