Job Description:
A growing independent brokerage is seeking a Head of Private Clients to lead and develop its High Net Worth offering. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who combines strong technical knowledge with commercial drive and the ability to build trusted, long-term client relationships.
You will take responsibility for shaping the strategic direction of the Private Clients division, managing and expanding your own portfolio of HNW clients, and ensuring exceptional service delivery tailored to complex personal insurance needs.


Key Responsibilities:
*Developing and implementing a clear business plan aligned to wider company objectives.
*Identifying growth opportunities within the HNW market and driving new business through introducers, networking and targeted prospecting.
*Managing and expanding your own portfolio of HNW clients, acting as a trusted adviser and primary point of contact.
*Assessing client needs and arranging bespoke cover across assets including homes, vehicles, art, jewellery and yachts.
*Negotiating with underwriters to secure competitive and appropriate terms.
*Overseeing renewals and proactively reviewing cover to reflect evolving client circumstances.
*Maintaining accurate records and ensuring high standards of compliance and Consumer Duty reporting.
*Working closely with senior leadership to deliver on financial performance objectives.
*Coaching and mentoring team members, setting clear objectives and promoting high performance across the department.


Experience & Skills Required:
*Proven structured background within the HNW insurance market with sound technical knowledge.
*A client-centric approach with a clear understanding of the expectations and service standards required for HNW individuals.
*Comprehensive knowledge of HNW products and market trends.
*Experience building and maintaining long-term client and stakeholder relationships.
*Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex insurance requirements.
*Leadership capability, with experience coaching or developing colleagues.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
*Accurate reporting skills and strong attention to detail.
*Acturis experience preferred.
