Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated 3D artist who enjoys turning complex scientific ideas into clear, engaging visual content. You’ll be joining a creative team that specialises in transforming cutting edge work from biotech, pharmaceutical and medical technology organisations into compelling visual stories.
Our studio focuses on high quality science communication and operates where artistic creativity meets technical accuracy. Projects span a wide range of media, including 3D/2D animations, motion design, illustrations, presentations, branding assets, digital content, interactive experiences, and more.
This role is fully onsite, working closely with our Creative and Scientific Directors to produce 3D animations and motion graphics. A background—academic or professional—in a scientific, medical, or technical discipline is required.
Please note: Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.
What we’re looking for
*Strong skills across 3D production workflows (modelling, animation, lighting, texturing, rendering, compositing, editing).
*Demonstrated experience or education in life sciences, chemistry, medicine or a related technical area.
*Ability to break down complex scientific concepts and translate them into clear visual narratives.
*A proactive and solution focused mindset.
*Confidence working to deadlines and managing multiple tasks at once.
*A structured, organised approach to working.
*Solid ability in: Cinema 4D, Octane or Redshift, XParticles, MoGraph, Substance Painter, rigging, Premiere Pro, After Effects.
*Desirable: familiarity with Blender (especially geometry nodes), ZBrush, Unreal Engine or experience linked to VR/AR environments.
Role responsibilities
*Creating 3D animation projects from early concept or brief through to postproduction and final delivery.
*Assisting with development of 3D assets used across other internal design projects.
*Carrying out research and collaborating with scientific and creative leads to develop strong, accurate visual storytelling approaches.
*An interest in progressing towards a leadership or teamlead role in the near future.
What we offer
*Starting salary of £50,000.
*Strong progression opportunities within a rapidly growing studio.
*The chance to work on projects connected to some of the most innovative areas of science today.
*A modern, creative workspace with excellent facilities, social spaces, community activities, and team events.
*A balanced mix of independent work and collaboration.
*A friendly, international team of creative professionals.
*High performance equipment and software.
*Support for training, professional development, workshops and courses.
