Job Description:
Car Park Customer Service Assistant*Annual Salary: £13.26 PAYE / £16.70 Umbrella per hour
*Location: Queens Road or Broad Street Mall car park
*Job Type: Temporary (12-month contract)
*Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends), shifts between 6am and midnight
*Requirements: Full clean UK driving licence
Join our team as a Car Park Customer Service Assistant and contribute to the security and safety of car parks owned or managed by the Council. This role involves a variety of tasks including security patrols, customer assistance, and maintenance duties, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all users.
Day-to-day of the role:*Conduct regular foot patrols to monitor and maintain the security of the car park.
*Provide a cashier service, issue and examine tickets, and regulate the entry and exit of vehicles.
*Respond to customer queries, assist those in distress, and resolve complaints effectively.
*Maintain cleanliness and order in the car park, including cleaning duties and graffiti removal.
*Operate parking control equipment and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and procedures.
*Engage with local businesses and the crime prevention unit to foster good relations and enhance security.
*Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the car park meets required standards.
*Assist in marketing and promotional initiatives to maximise revenue opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:*Experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with the public.
*Ability to handle and resolve complaints and provide satisfactory solutions.
*Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks and willingness to perform cleaning duties.
*Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and late shifts as required.
