The Role
As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will support a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors. Your duties will include:
*Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
*Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
*Supporting VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts when required
*Liaising directly with clients to obtain information, resolve queries, and build strong working relationships
*Working closely with senior team members to ensure deadlines are met and work is delivered to high professional standards
*Progressing steadily toward qualification with the firm’s support
About You
You’ll be a strong fit for this role if you are:
*ACCA or ACA part-qualified, ideally close to completing your qualification
*Experienced within a UK accountancy practice (minimum 3 years)
*Confident preparing accounts and tax returns with minimal supervision
*Familiar with cloud accounting packages such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
*Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage your own workload
*A strong communicator who enjoys client-facing responsibilities
