Job Description:
Due to continued company growth, a job opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join one of South Wales’s leading Civil Engineering Companies, who specialise in the construction of Wind Farm’s, Sub Stations, and Solar Farm’s – on a permanent basis. This role will play an important part in helping the organisation enhance its procurement and logistics capabilities and management of suppliers.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
*Contacting and connecting local and nationwide suppliers within the construction industry, obtaining quotations and lead times
*Placing of purchase orders
*Identifying potential new suppliers and products
*Ensuring compliance with company IMS system
*General management and admin of purchasing documentation
Essential Skills
*Experience in buying within the construction/ civil engineering industry
*Excellent IT skills Microsoft Excel/ Word etc
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
*Effective communication and team working skills
*Knowledge of construction industry
*Knowledge of infrastructure and energy works i.e; Sub Stations, Wind Farms, Solar Farms
Job Details
*Full time, permanent
*Working hours Monday to Friday 08.00am to 17.00pm
*Based in Newport, South Wales office
*Casual dress
*On site free parking
*Salary negotiable depending on experience
