Electromechanical Fitter
Sheffield
£37,000 – £40,000 + Overtime
Workshop & Site Based (approx. 60/40 split)
We’re recruiting for an experienced Electromechanical Fitter to join a specialist heavy engineering workshop in Sheffield.
This role involves stripping, inspecting, repairing and rebuilding large AC/DC motors and rotating equipment for industrial clients.
The Role:
*Disassembly and inspection of electric motors
*Bearing replacement (including white metal)
*Fault diagnosis and root cause analysis
*Basic electrical testing
*Reassembly and preparation for test
*Occasional site work and short stays away when required
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience with rotating equipment / motor repair
*Strong mechanical fitting background
*Able to read drawings and assess wear/damage
*Comfortable working both independently and in a team
*Flexible for occasional site work
*Overtime available.
*Long-term opportunity within a stable heavy engineering business.
