Business Development Manager (Security)

Job Description:
Clear Choice Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established and highly respected organisation within the security distribution sector in the search for an experienced Business Development Manager.
This is a field-based role focused on driving regional growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding market share across key product brands. The successful candidate will act as the face of the business in their territory, delivering consultative sales and long-term account development.
Please note: Proven experience within security distribution is absolutely essential. Applications without relevant sector experience will not be considered.


Key Responsibilities:


*Drive sales growth and market share across the assigned region.
*Manage and develop existing accounts, identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
*Generate new business opportunities in partnership with internal sales teams.
*Re-engage and win back lapsed accounts.
*Build strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
*Conduct joint or independent customer visits aligned to strategic suppliers.
*Complete a minimum of 8 customer visits per week.
*Represent the business at trade shows and industry events.
*Maintain accurate activity reporting and pipeline management within CRM systems.
*Collaborate closely with internal colleagues on planning, forecasting, and sales optimisation.


Essential Skills:


*Demonstrable field sales experience within security distribution or a closely related technical product environment.
*A strong track record of B2B business development and account management within this sector.
*Excellent negotiation and closing ability.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*Confident presenter with a consultative sales approach.
*IT literate with experience using CRM platforms.
*Commercially aware and numerate, with the ability to manage targets and forecasts.
