I’m working with a leading quantitative trading firm that is looking to hire a Trader into its central trading business. This is a highly visible role within a sophisticated, technology-driven trading environment, offering broad exposure to systematic strategies across global markets.

The position sits at the intersection of trading, risk management, and technology, and would suit someone who enjoys real-time market engagement, operational responsibility, and improving processes through automation.

The role

Trading & Risk Oversight *Monitor real-time exposures, profit & loss, and key risk metrics across systematic trading strategies
*Proactively identify issues, raise alerts, and escalate incidents when required
*Execute hedging actions in line with established procedures
*Respond quickly to market events and risk limit breaches
Production & Strategy Monitoring *Oversee live trading strategies and ensure continuity of operations
*Respond to system alerts and support the restart or stabilization of trading processes
*Act as a coordination point during incidents, working closely with internal teams
Operational & Ad-hoc Support *Perform ad-hoc hedging, booking, and lifecycle management tasks
*Support pilots, new initiatives, and the launch of new products or markets
*Assist with post-execution analysis and best-execution monitoring
Process Improvement & Automation *Build scripts and tools to streamline monitoring, booking, and operational workflows
*Work with stakeholders to identify enhancements and extend team capabilities
*Contribute to the development of a scalable, efficient central trading function
What they’re looking for *Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or related discipline
*Strong Python programming skills (KDB experience is advantageous)
*Previous experience in a trading, monitoring, execution or trade operations role
*Clear communicator, comfortable working with teams across regions
*High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to stay calm in fast-moving environments
*A genuine interest in markets, systematic trading, and operational excellence
Why this opportunity? *Exposure to state-of-the-art trading infrastructure and large-scale quantitative strategies
*A genuinely interdisciplinary role combining trading, risk, and technology
*The chance to make a real impact through automation and process improvement
*Collaboration with experienced trading, quantitative, and engineering professionals
