Job Description:
Domicillary Care Worker
Location: Truro and Surrounding area
Employment Type: Full-time & Part-time hours available
About the Role
At Synergy Care & Education, we put people first—both the individuals we support and the team members who care for them. We’re looking for a compassionate, reliable Domicillary Care Worker to help adults live with dignity and independence in their own homes, group settings, or assisted-living environments.
What You’ll Do
*Provide respectful assistance with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
*Offer companionship, emotional support, and engaging social activities.
*Follow tailored care plans and record observations, promptly reporting any changes in health or behaviour.
*Administer medications (where trained/authorised) and assist with mobility or transfers, including the safe use of equipment such as hoists or Hoyer lifts.
*Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that promotes wellbeing and independence.
What We’re Looking For
*Essential: empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to improve quality of life.
*First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
*Previous experience in community care, group homes, or assisted-living settings is an advantage.
*Comfortable supporting people with dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism, or other developmental/health conditions.
*Ability to follow care plans, maintain confidentiality, and meet high hygiene standards.
*Physically able to assist with lifting or mobility when required.
Why Work with Synergy
*Service-first culture: we prioritise excellent client care and fair staff pay over sales targets.
*Competitive hourly rates with prompt, reliable payment.
*Flexible shifts to fit your lifestyle—days, evenings, or weekends.
*Ongoing training & career development, including specialist courses in dementia and autism support.
*A supportive management team that values your input and wellbeing.
Bring your compassion and commitment to care, and help us empower individuals to live their best lives.
Apply today and become a valued part of the Synergy Care & Education team.
