Job Description:
We are looking for an Income Assistant to join our central Finance team, supporting the accurate recording, reconciliation and monitoring of income across the organisation. This is a detail focused role for someone who enjoys working with financial data, problem solving and helping others get things right first time.
What your day will involve
*Maintaining accurate income records through checks, reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
*Monitoring income bank accounts and completing regular and monthly bank reconciliations
*Supporting services to improve the accuracy of income recording through clear guidance and practical support
*Working with operational teams to ensure income records reflect occupancy and service activity
*Liaising with Credit Control and Finance colleagues to help resolve income queries
*Supporting annual billing updates and ensuring changes are applied accurately across systems
*Assisting with year end income processes and the preparation of audit information
*Contributing to improvements in income processes and ways of working within the team
About you
You will have experience working with financial data, reconciliations or income processes and bring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be confident using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, comfortable managing deadlines and able to explain financial processes clearly to non finance colleagues. You will work well independently while also being a supportive and reliable team member. As we do our work in Christ’s name, this role has an occupational requirement for the post holder to have a Christian faith and to work within and uphold our Christian ethos, in line with the Equality Act 2010.
