Are you a qualified Audit professional with experience in Real Estate, Property or Construction clients? Are you looking to join a firm where audit quality, collaboration and long-term client relationships are genuinely prioritised?
We are partnering with a leading UK accountancy firm seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing Real Estate team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a specialist client base while progressing your leadership responsibilities.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit engagements across a diverse Real Estate portfolio, including:
*Property investment groups
*Real Estate funds
*Property developers
*Construction and infrastructure businesses
*SPVs and complex group structures
What you will be doing as an Audit Assistant Manager in the Real Estate team:
*Lead audit assignments for Real Estate and Property clients from planning through to completion
*Supervise and coach junior team members during on-site fieldwork
*Review financial statements prepared under IFRS and UK GAAP, including property-specific accounting treatments
*Audit key Real Estate balances including investment property valuations, development costs, revenue recognition and financing arrangements
*Review group consolidations and SPV structures
*Ensure compliance with UK and International GAAS
*Assess valuation methodologies and liaise with third-party valuers where required
*Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements, including AML compliance
*Communicate regularly with senior client stakeholders, including finance directors and asset managers
*Identify commercial and advisory opportunities within the Real Estate portfolio
What you will need to succeed as an Audit Assistant Manager in the Real Estate team:
*ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualified (or overseas equivalent)
*Degree educated (or equivalent professional qualification)
*Experience supervising and coaching junior staff
*Strong working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS and UK GAAP
*Exposure to Real Estate, Property, Construction or Infrastructure clients
*Understanding of sector-specific accounting issues such as investment property, fair value measurement and development accounting
*Awareness of current economic and property market trends
*Proactive, organised and confident managing your own workload
*Strong communicator with the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders
