We have an excellent opportunity for a clinical leader to join our corporate leadership team to provide strategic clinical leadership through partnering with senior executives, clinicians and external stakeholders to deliver safe, high quality care through consistent standards, innovation and operational excellence. Reporting to our Chief Nurse Executive, you will bring influence, energy and ambition to not only shape the group clinical strategy but also deliver measurable improvement across HCA’s complex portfolio of hospitals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead strategy & transformation
*Drive the development of the HCA Clinical Operations Strategy and ensure its delivery across all hospitals.
*Be a key partner to the Chief Nursing Executive and deputise when required.
*Lead system-wide projects that create seamless, consistent clinical operations across the organisation.
Enhance clinical performance & standards
*Work with clinical leaders to improve processes, pathways and operational delivery across nursing, AHPs and specialist functions.
*Lead critical clinical services including safeguarding, blood transfusion, resuscitation and mental health liaison.
*Chair key groups including the Critical Care Delivery Group, driving excellence in operational standards across all HCA UK sites.
Drive governance, quality & risk improvement
*Support regulatory readiness and accreditation programmes, ensuring HCA UK maintains its competitive edge within the independent sector.
*Lead divisional implementation of PSIRF, shaping how we learn, respond and continuously improve from incident and risk signals.
Champion patient experience
*Partner with CNOs and COOs to deliver an innovative and outstanding patient experience strategy.
*Bring a senior lens to improvement programmes that elevate the patient journey across all touchpoints.
Empower people, education & culture
*Shape and deliver education, training and professional development programmes in partnership with our clinical education teams.
*Support HR-aligned clinical projects to strengthen our mission of being an employer of choice for exceptional people.
Skills and experience:
*Registered Nurse – Level 1 with valid NMC registration.
*Experience at Senior Management Level
*Budget management experience
* Strong leadership experience with an ability to simplify complexity and drive action
*Track record of delivering meaningful change, quality improvement and operational excellence
*Excellent communication skills, able to influence at Board, executive and multi disciplinary levels
