Job Description:
Robert Half are working in exclusive partnership with a highly regarded, established organisation in Cheltenham to recruit a Finance Manager on a full-time permanent basis. The Finance Manager role is an exceptional opportunity for someone to drive excellence in financial and budget management, reporting and team collaboration. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring robust controls, business partnering with stakeholders and efficient operations within the finance department. The salary is between £50,000 - £60,000 plus a number of excellent benefits.
The Role
The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager will consist of:
*Lead month-end management accounts and year-end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory accounts.
*Prepare budgets, forecasts, and management reports to support strategic and operational decision-making
*Develop and deliver annual finance work plans, policies and procedures.
*Implement and improve processes for efficient and accurate reporting.
*Manage external audit processes and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and VAT regulations.
*Support and advise stakeholders across the organisation on financial issues and business planning.
*Oversee the processes in relation to income, direct debit processing and debtor management.
*Manage assets and insurance claims.
*Lead, manage and develop the Finance team.
Requirements
To be considered for the Finance Manager role, you must possess the following skills and experience:
*Must have experience within a Finance Manager role or equivalent.
*Fully/part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
*Proven ability in management and financial accounting, reporting and controls.
*Must have experience managing and leading a team.
*Ability to meet tight deadlines with high accuracy and take initiative in identifying and implementing solutions.
*Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication across all levels.
*Adaptable.
