Static Service Engineer – Commercial Catering Equipment
Workshop-Based | Monday–Friday | Canterbury
Are you a white goods or workshop engineer looking to move into commercial catering equipment?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business specialising in the refurbishment of commercial combi ovens. The role is primarily workshop-based, offering stability, structured hours, and full training.
No call-out rota. No constant travel. Just solid engineering work in a well-organised workshop environment.
The Role
You will be part of a small, experienced workshop team responsible for refurbishing and preparing commercial combi ovens prior to resale.
Day-to-day duties include:
*Electrical and mechanical fault-finding
*Repairing commercial ovens
*Stripping, rebuilding, testing and signing off equipment
*Preparing incoming units for refurbishment
*Updating job and asset information on internal systems
*Managing parts and component stock
*Liaising with the workshop and office team to keep projects on track
There may be occasional site visits once fully trained, but this is predominantly a static workshop role.
Training & Development
Previous catering equipment experience is not essential.
Engineers from white goods, appliance repair or similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Full manufacturer and in-house training will be provided to support your transition into commercial catering equipment.
What We’re Looking For
*Experience as a white goods engineer, workshop engineer or similar
*Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
*Confidence working independently within a workshop setting
*Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload
*Combi oven or catering equipment experience is advantageous but not required
