Campbell Grove talent are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a business in Harrogate, who due to expansion are growing their Finance team.
This role will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the timely collection of outstanding debts, whilst maintaining strong customer relationships.
What you’ll be doing:
*Manage and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring customer accounts are accurate and up to date
*Proactively chase outstanding invoices
*Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts
*Monitor credit limits and assess credit risk for new and existing customers
*Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments
*Resolve customer queries efficiently, liaising with internal departments where necessary
*Produce regular aged debt reports and provide updates to the Finance Manager
*Support month-end processes related to accounts receivable
*Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc finance duties and reporting as required
What we need:
*Solid, proven experience in a credit control/ AR role
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels
*Strong negotiation skills
*Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy
*Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
*Competent in MS Excel
