Job Description:
A highly respected and multi-site firm of accountants based in Faversham is seeking a motivated and committed Graduate Accountant to join its growing Outsourced Finance Function.
While the firm operates as a leading General Practice and is recognised for excellence within its specialist sectors, this opportunity sits within the outsourced team, supporting clients with their day-to-day finance operations. This is an ideal role for a graduate looking to build strong technical foundations while training towards either the ACA or ACCA qualification, with full study support provided.
The Role
This is a hands-on training position designed to develop core accounting skills within a supportive and professional environment.
Initial duties will include:
*Bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients
*Preparation and submission of VAT returns
*Preparation of CIS returns
*Assisting with bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance
*Supporting month-end processes
*Beginning to assist in the preparation of management accounts
*As your experience develops, you will gain increased exposure to management reporting and client-facing responsibilities.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
*A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
*6–12 months’ accounts experience (essential)
*Strong academic background
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*A professional and polished approach
*A proactive, "can do" attitude
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*A clear ambition to qualify as a Certified or Chartered Accountant
