Location: South Norfolk (flexible working available)
An established and expanding international group is seeking a skilled Group Tax Manager to play a central role within its finance function. This is a broad, influential position with responsibility across tax compliance, reporting and advisory matters in a multi-entity, cross-border environment.
The role offers genuine variety and the opportunity to shape how tax is managed as the business continues its growth trajectory.
The Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership and working closely with local finance teams and external advisers, you will provide proactive tax support across the group. The position combines hands-on technical work with commercial engagement and strategic input.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing the group’s reported and cash tax position, including forecasts
*Preparing annual tax disclosures under IFRS
*Leading global tax reporting requirements, including Pillar 2 and Country-by-Country Reporting
*Overseeing UK corporation tax computations, returns and payments
*Ensuring robust transfer pricing policies, documentation and governance
*Providing clear, pragmatic tax advice to finance and commercial teams
*Supporting M&A, restructuring and integration projects from a tax perspective
*Ensuring compliance across direct and indirect taxes, including VAT and customs
*Working with newly acquired businesses to align and embed tax processes
*Managing relationships with external advisers and identifying opportunities for process improvements
About You
You are a confident and commercially minded tax professional who enjoys working across a diverse portfolio and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You bring sound judgement, technical depth and a solutions-focused approach.
You are likely to offer:
*Strong UK tax expertise across direct and indirect taxes
*Experience operating in a group, multinational or multi-entity setting
*Exposure to international tax, transfer pricing and cross-border matters
*Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
*The ability to communicate complex issues clearly and constructively
Qualifications
*Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification
*Additional tax qualifications are beneficial but not essential
Why This Role?
This position provides the opportunity to take ownership of the group’s tax agenda within a growing and ambitious organisation. It offers visibility, autonomy and the scope to influence processes, contribute to strategic decision-making and support long-term value creation.
