Sister/Charge Nurse - Day Unit
Location:London,The Princess Grace Hospital
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday – Friday, flexible shift times
Permanent contract
Salary: Competitive dependent on Experience




We are looking for a Sister/Charge Nurse to join The Day Unit at The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK.


As the Sister/Charge Nurse for the Day Unit, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient experiences and delivering exceptional clinical and professional leadership to the team.


The Sister/Charge Nurse will be supporting and deputising for the Department Manager on supervising daily operations within the Day Unit, overseeing patient flow, admissions, timelyassessment and treatment of daycase admissions for infusions and short stay procedures.
The Sister/Charge Nurse will also work closely with the Endocrine CNS, supporting specialist dynamic function tests within our Endocrine Investigation Unit.


This position provides mentorship and support to the team, serving as both a clinical expert and role model. You will ensure that the highest standards of care are maintained through rigorous monitoring or both personal and clinical team competence, implementing evidence-based practices, adherence to policy & guidelines, fostering development initiatives and delivering high quality service to patients, their families and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for adhering to budgetary guidelines and meeting workforce planning objectives.


This role requires active promotion of the Unit within Princess Grace Hospital, HCA and external referrers as well as participation in relevant forums to drive continuous improvement and service growth.

What you’ll bring:
*Registered Nurse qualification

*Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in a similar setting (e.g., Surgical/Medical Day Unit)

*Certification in Teaching, Assessing, or Mentorship

*Team and Department Management qualification/experience desirable

*Experience of service improvements desirable

*Experience in Endocrine Speciality desirable
