Job Description:
Test Technician - High Voltage Power SuppliesAbout the Role We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join a well-established advanced manufacturing organisation specialising in high voltage power systems used in cutting-edge technology applications.
This is a hands-on technical role within a manufacturing environment, responsible for ensuring that all power supply units meet rigorous safety, quality, and performance standards before reaching customers.

Key Responsibilities * Execute testing of high voltage power supplies to defined specifications
* Upgrade and modify assemblies and finished products
* Complete test reports and documentation in line with customer and quality management requirements
* Provide hands-on manufacturing support including mechanical assembly and component installation
* Interpret and implement engineering changes in accordance with documentation
* Identify product quality and performance issues and raise non-conformances where required
* Liaise with Design Engineering, Test Equipment Design and Sales teams to support customer requirements
* Support Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including sustainability and "green" improvements
Skills, Knowledge & Experience * Experience with high voltage test methods
* Soldering and rework experience to IPC standards
* Experience within a lean manufacturing environment
* Ability to accurately follow test procedures and achieve standard times
* Competent in the use of test equipment including:
* Oscilloscopes
* Function generators
* Digital power supplies
* Multimeters
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Environment * Use of appropriate PPE (e.g., safety shoes, eyewear, gloves)
* Fine control required for assembly, soldering, and hand tool usage
* Visual inspection of small components and reading of technical drawings and digital displays
* Manual handling of materials up to 30kg (with mechanical aids where required)
* Occasional movement of larger equipment (up to 800kg) using mechanical aids and safe working practices
