Hours: Full-time, shift-based
Driving licence: Essential
About the Role
We’re recruiting for a reliable and customer-focused Car Park Attendant to join the Parking Services team in Reading. This is an active, hands-on role where no two days are the same.
You’ll be the face of the service—helping the public, keeping car parks clean and safe, and supporting the general operation of the site.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with the community, and taking pride in maintaining a clean, safe environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Carrying out regular foot patrols of car parks
*Assisting customers with queries, complaints, or general support
*Monitoring activity to deter theft, vandalism and anti-social behaviour
*Operating ticket machines, barriers and parking equipment
*Keeping the car park clean, tidy, safe and hazard-free
*Removing litter, waste, graffiti, and supporting basic maintenance
*Completing reports, inspections and documentation
*Supporting cash-handling activities in line with procedures
*Working closely with managers, colleagues and local businesses
We’re looking for someone who is:
Friendly and confident with the public

Able to work independently and use initiative

Comfortable with physical, active work

A good communicator with strong customer service skills

Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious

Holds a full UK driving licence (ESSENTIAL)
