Assistant Commercial Finance Accountant

Location: London (hybrid)
A dynamic, fast-paced organisation is seeking an Assistant Commercial Finance Accountant to support forecasting, reporting, and commercial insight across multiple business units.
This role sits within the Commercial Finance function and works closely with senior finance colleagues and non-finance stakeholders to support decision-making, improve reporting, and deliver timely, accurate financial insight. It is well suited to someone looking to build commercial finance experience in a collaborative, stakeholder-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities*Support forecasting meetings with operational teams, reviewing project forecasts and spend.
*Assist with month-end analysis of revenue and costs, including accruals, deferrals, and variance analysis.
*Maintain and update forecasting models and trackers to ensure data accuracy.
*Support new business activity, including financial input into pitches and post-pitch analysis.
*Prepare commercial performance analysis, including cost and margin ratios.
*Assist with the development and maintenance of BI reporting and dashboards.
*Support preparation of management and leadership reporting packs.
*Deliver ad hoc commercial analysis to support wider business needs.
Candidate Profile*Previous experience in a finance or commercial role (agency or project-based environment desirable but not essential).
*Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
*Confident communicator, comfortable working with non-finance stakeholders.
*Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic financial modelling).
*Experience with project or finance systems (e.g. Monday or similar) is advantageous.
*Actively studying towards CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
*Proactive, self-motivated, and keen to develop a career in commercial finance.
