Futures is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing client who is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Wirer to join their skilled production team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering business delivering high-quality electrical systems, with a strong focus on Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) applications.
As an Electrical Wirer, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels and systems in line with engineering drawings and technical specifications. The successful candidate must be confident working from detailed schematics and have experience within MV/HV environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
*Reading and interpreting electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
*Wiring control panels, switchgear, and associated equipment
*Working on Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) systems
*Terminating cables and carrying out panel modifications
*Conducting basic electrical testing and fault-finding
*Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with industry standards and company quality procedures
*Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Requirements
*Proven experience as an Electrical Wirer within a manufacturing or engineering environment
*Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
*Experience working with MV/HV systems (essential)
*Knowledge of electrical regulations and safety standards
*High attention to detail and quality
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
*Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
*Experience within switchgear, substations, or heavy industrial environments
