Are you an experienced Credit professional ready to lead the function and supervise a team member?

We are partnering with a well-established and growing business based in Nottingham that is looking for a confident, commercially minded Credit Control Supervisor to take ownership of the sales ledger, lead one Credit Controller, and drive process and systems improvements across the credit function.

This is more than a collections role — it’s an opportunity to take control, influence outcomes, improve systems (including Business Central), and make a visible impact on cash flow performance.

In This Credit Control Supervisor Role You Will: *Take full ownership of the sales ledger
*Supervise and support one Credit Controller
*Proactively manage aged debt and reduce exposure
*Drive strong cash flow through effective negotiation
*Monitor and improve DSO performance
*Approve new account applications and assess credit risk
*Resolve complex invoice queries cross-functionally
*Improve credit control processes and reporting
*Explore and optimise functionality within Business Central
*Automate reminder letters and streamline credit workflows
*Provide insight and reporting to senior stakeholders
You will be the go-to person for all things credit — trusted, credible, commercially aware, and confident holding standards internally.

What We’re Looking For *Proven experience in a B2B credit control environment
*Experience owning and managing a full sales ledger
*Previous supervisory experience (or ready to step up)
*Strong telephone negotiation skills
*Confident managing difficult conversations professionally
*Strong reconciliation and allocation experience
*Experience improving or automating credit control processes
*Systems confident — ideally exposure to Microsoft Business Central
*Strong Excel skills
*Excellent communication skills
CICM qualification (or working towards) would be highly desirable.

The Opportunity This role offers:
*Genuine ownership and autonomy
*The opportunity to lead and develop a team member
*A stable and established business environment
*A supportive finance team
*The chance to improve systems and automate processes
*A visible role with real impact on cash flow performance
If you are a resilient, commercially sharp Credit professional who enjoys improving processes, supervising others, and taking full responsibility for the credit function — we would love to speak with you.
