Job Description:
Kenny Recruit are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join an established client’s finance team. Our client is highly successful within their industry and continues to grow. Working as part of a small but dynamic finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding invoices, and maintaining strong client relationships while minimising financial risk to the business. Due to the nature of the industry, relationship-building with both customers and suppliers is key, and phone-based communication will be an essential part of the role.
Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits
Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (flexible working hours available)
Location: Wimbledon (5 days in the office)
Key Responsibilities
*Managing and maintaining the sales ledger
*Chasing outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence
*Accurately allocating incoming payments
*Resolving customer queries efficiently to prevent payment delays
*Negotiating payment plans where appropriate
*Monitoring customer credit limits and reviewing creditworthiness
*Producing aged debtor reports and providing regular management updates
*Supporting month-end procedures and reporting
*Reducing debtor days and improving cash flow
Requirements
*Previous experience in a credit control role
*Strong communication and negotiation skills
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
*Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Professional and customer-focused approach
