£26,000 – £28,000 per annum (pro rata)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Controller to join a busy and supportive finance team based in Manchester on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable function.
The RoleReporting to the Finance Manager, you will take full responsibility for the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities*Processing high volumes of supplier invoices
*Matching, batching, and coding invoices
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
*Preparing and processing payment runs (BACS and cheques)
*Managing supplier queries in a timely and professional manner
*Supporting month-end close activities
*Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
*Assisting with process improvements within the AP function
About You*Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
