This opportunity is with a well-established not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making a positive impact. It operates as part of a supportive and mission-driven team in the Accounting & Finance department.
Description
*To have oversight and support Accounts Payable and Income Processing with all aspects of work, which includes covering annual leave/sickness and processing in peak periods.
*Assisting the Finance Processing Manager with all aspects of the processing team, providing guidance on day-to-day workload management and prioritising accordingly, deputising and providing cover in their absence.
*To ensure all finance transactional processing items are completed accurately, completely and efficiently. This includes invoice registration, payment runs, supplier amendments, income processing, journal postings, adding of income to Salesforce for postal items, credit card transaction review.
*Oversight and cover of Special Purpose Funds process, ensuring income and expenditure are processed daily. which includes processing expenses and income. Running monthly statements to be distributed to fundholders.
*Support and cover for weekly payment runs, ensuring the payment run process runs smoothly and is compliant for audit purposes. Support the AP team with monitoring and escalating unapproved supplier invoices on a weekly basis.
*Provide guidance as required and support the Income team with producing a monthly aged debtor’s report and circulating it across the business, following the escalation process and ensuring reconciliation to the control account.
Profile
A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:
*Income Transactional processing experience
*Accounts Payable invoice management/payment runs
*Proven experience of working effectively at a fast pace, dealing with volume, consistently delivering to deadlines
*Strong experience of Finance systems, ideally Agresso/Unit 4
*Experience of using Salesforce / or other CRM system
Job Offer
*Competitive salary ranging from £37,000 to £40,000 per annum.
*Permanent position within the Not For Profit sector.
