Learning Support Assistant – Knowsley
*£15.61–£16 per hour (depending on experience)
*Full-time & Part-time hours available
*ASAP start – or within the next 2–3 months

*Do you have experience supporting students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or additional needs?
*Reed Further Education are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support learners at a leading FE college. You will provide high-quality academic and personal support both in and out of the classroom, ensuring students can fully engage with their studies and college life.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Providing 1:1 and group support for students with SEND, learning difficulties, or additional support needs
*Assisting students in class to help them access learning and remain engaged
*Supporting with literacy, numeracy, study skills, and organisation
*Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
*Adapting learning materials where needed to meet individual needs
*Assisting with note-taking, assignment preparation, and use of learning aids
*Supporting students during exams, reviews, and support plan meetings
*Working collaboratively with tutors and the Additional Learning Support (ALS) team
*Assisting with enrolment and induction to help students settle into college smoothly
What We’re Looking For
*Experience supporting students or individuals with learning needs (education, care, youth work, or similar)
*Understanding of SEND and inclusive learning practices
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Minimum GCSEs (A–C / Level 2) in English and Maths
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
