Job Description:
Senior HR Professional / Employee Relations Specialist (Contract)
?? Central London (3-4 days onsite)
?? 3-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
?? £300-£400 per day (Umbrella)
?? Start Date: ASAP
We’re seeking an experienced Senior HR Professional / ER Specialist to deliver a
high-impact contract focused on strengthening HR compliance, managing complex
employee relations, and improving HR systems and processes across a multi-site
education setting.
This is a hands-on role requiring both operational delivery and strategic
oversight
Key Responsibilities
HR Compliance & File Audit
* Conduct a full audit of personnel files across multiple sites
* Verify contracts, variations, right to work documentation, and statutory
records
* Review contracts against updated policies (disciplinary, grievance, sickness
absence etc.)
* Identify and rectify compliance gaps
* Produce a risk-rated compliance report and remediation plan
HR Systems & Data Review
* Cross-check contracts against HRIS and payroll data
* Correct discrepancies and strengthen data controls
Employee Relations & Consultation
* Manage complex ER casework
* Lead formal consultations linked to contractual change
* Ensure legally compliant processes and documentation
* Apply working knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Management Support & Capability
* Support delivery of practical management training
* Equip managers to handle absence, conduct and performance confidently
HR Efficiency Review
* Assess workload and process flow
* Identify automation and streamlining opportunities
* Provide clear, actionable recommendations
Essential experience
* Senior-level HR experience with strong ER expertise in nursery school/primary
education settings
* Proven background in HR compliance audits
* Experience working within KCSIE and EYFS frameworks
* Comfortable working onsite in Central London (3-4 days per week)
* Able to travel to sites as required
* Available to start ASAP
