M365 Tester – IT
Location: Liverpool – Cunard Building (initially office-based)
Start Date: 1 April 2026
Duration: 34 Weeks
Hours: 35 per week
Rates:
*£19.40 per hour PAYE
*£25.38 per hour Umbrella/Ltd
The OpportunityRibble Recruitment is supporting a local authority to appoint an experienced M365 Tester for a 34-week project within their ICT & Digital function.
This is a project-based requirement delivering a unique, one-off piece of work focused on Microsoft 365 testing, integrations, and validation across the wider digital estate.
The successful candidate will have substantial expertise in testing across the M365 ecosystem, including Dynamics 365 and core collaboration tools, alongside strong stakeholder engagement capability.
Initial training will be delivered face-to-face. Following this, hybrid working will be available subject to business need.
Key Responsibilities*Develop and implement detailed test scripts aligned with business requirements
*Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing
*Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues
*Validate integrations between M365, D365, and existing internal systems
*Utilise Azure DevOps and other testing tools to manage testing cycles and collaboration
*Work with developers and end users to ensure robust system validation
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving M365 technologies and best practice
Technical EnvironmentYou will require demonstrable experience across:
*Microsoft 365 ecosystem
*Dynamics 365
*Microsoft Teams
*SharePoint Online
*OneDrive
*Outlook
*Microsoft Copilot
*Azure DevOps
Strong understanding of integration, configuration, customisation and troubleshooting within M365 is essential.
Essential Experience*Proven experience testing Microsoft 365 applications and services
*Experience validating integrations between M365/D365 and legacy systems
*Strong defect management and reporting capability
*Experience creating structured test plans and scripts
*Confident communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
*Experience working within cross-functional ICT teams
Interview Process*Face-to-face interview
*Location: Cunard Building, Liverpool
*Panel: M365 Tester Lead & ICT Senior Technical Architect
*Approx. 45 minutes
*Target interview date: 9 March 2026
