Emergency Planning & Resilience Officer

Temp until at least May • Hybrid working (up to 2 days WFH)
Help keep Brent safe, prepared, and resilient. We’re looking for an Emergency Planning & Resilience Officer to support the Council’s obligations under the Civil Contingencies Act and strengthen our readiness to respond to major incidents.

What you’ll be doing
* Designing and delivering emergency training & exercises
* Reviewing, updating and improving response plans
* Collaborating with emergency services, London resilience partners & external agencies
* Working with voluntary and community groups to build local resilience
* Helping develop new capabilities to strengthen preparedness and response
What we’re looking for
* Strong organisational skills and fresh ideas
* Ability to interpret guidance and turn it into practical plans
* Experience delivering training
* Familiarity with JESIP and the Civil Contingencies Act (2004)
* A collaborative communicator who can work across multiple partners
What you’ll get
