Contract Duration:
Location: Sutton Coldfield
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Rate: £40-£42 per hour
Employment Type: On-site
Role Overview
We are seeking an experience Metrology Engineer to join our team for a fixed-term engagement during 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting quality assurance and dimensional control processes within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute CMM programming for precision measurement and inspection.
- Apply advanced GD&T principles to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Support projects involving stampings and Automotive manufacturing, working closely with OEM or Tier 1 suppliers.
- Lead and coordinate metrology-related activities, demonstrating strong project management skills.
- Manage supplier relationships, including buy-offs and quality approvals.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in CMM programming.
- Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Background in automotive manufacturing, specifically stampings or BIW.
- Demonstrated ability in project leadership and coordination.
- Experience in supplier management and buy-off processes.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
