Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable skilled Handyman to support our long standing on site in Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in joinery and be confident carrying out a wide range of basic trade tasks to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
*Perform general handyman duties including minor repairs, adjustments, and basic maintenance.
*Carry out tasks such as:
*Basic joinery
*Fixing doors, locks, hinges
*Minor painting/decorating
*Basic plumbing tasks (as needed)
*General upkeep and site support
*Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
*Follow all site safety procedures and report issues or hazards.
*Work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
Essential Requirements
*Proven experience as a Handyman or general maintenance operative.
*CSCS Card - valid and in date.
*Face Fit certification.
*Strong joinery skills or a joinery background.
*Good all-round basic trade knowledge.
*Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
*Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
*Experience working on construction or refurbishment projects.
*Own basic tools.
