About the RoleWe’re supporting a growing business in Stevenage that is looking for an organised, proactive, and detail-focused Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their workload, and prides themselves on accuracy and strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities*Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
*Matching, batching and coding invoices
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
*Managing the AP inbox and responding to supplier queries
*Preparing weekly payment runs
*Assisting with month-end tasks and reporting
*Supporting the wider finance team as required
About You*Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Confident communicating with suppliers and internal teams
*Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
*Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
*A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
