A leading international consultancy is seeking a skilled FinanceBusiness Partner to strengthen its UK finance function. This newly created opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping financial insight, partnering with senior leaders, and driving value across a diverse project-based business.
The role
You’ll join a collaborative finance team spanning the UK and Northern Europe, supporting a large Buildings division with responsibility for financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business partnering. The position offers significant exposure to senior management and the chance to influence performance across a high-profile portfolio.
Key focus areas include:
*Business controlling & advisory — presenting results, highlighting risks/opportunities, supporting decision-making, and driving value creation.
*Working capital management — WIP analysis, contingency management, and proactive follow-up.
*Reporting & analysis — income statement ownership, root-cause analysis, project profitability, and ad-hoc reporting including audit support.
*Planning & forecasting — leading budgeting cycles and ensuring accuracy and alignment with business leaders.
*Continuous improvement — identifying and implementing process enhancements.
About you
*Strong academic background; ideally ACA/CIMA qualified or Qualified by Experience.
*Proven business partnering experience with a solid understanding of project accounting or experience working in a projects based business
*Advanced analytical and Excel modelling skills.
*Experience with ERP systems and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
*Collaborative, commercially aware, and able to build strong working relationships.
