Job Description:
We are seeking a commercially driven Client Development Director to join Reed’s specialist recruitment division, working with organisations across the Food, FMCG, and Scientific sectors. This hybrid role blends business development, account management, and strategic partnership building, helping to grow our client base and strengthen our presence across industry and academia.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
*Identify and win new business opportunities
*Lead strategies to secure contracts and increase revenue
*Conduct market mapping to identify growth areas
Account Management
*Manage and develop existing client relationships
*Provide expert, tailored recruitment solutions
*Promote Reed’s full suite of products and services
Partnership & Community Engagement
*Build relationships with universities, research institutions, and industry bodies
*Develop partnerships across the Biotech and FMCG communities
*Lead diversity initiatives, including the Women in Engineering mentoring group
Internal Collaboration & Upskilling
*Share market insight and technical knowledge
*Build strong internal networks
*Support consultants in understanding STEM and Biotech roles
Measures of Success
*Securing new client contracts
*Revenue growth across target sectors
*Increased market share
*Stronger brand visibility across industry and academia
*Enhanced internal capability
*Successful delivery of the Women in Engineering mentoring group

Essential
*Experience in recruitment, sales, or client relationship management
*Knowledge of Food, FMCG, or Scientific sectors
*Understanding of Biotech, Life Sciences, or FMCG product cycles
