My client, a well-established and highly regarded UK law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its Accounts team on a 6 month fixed term basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong legal finance experience who is confident working within a busy, regulated environment and has an excellent understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).
Key Responsibilities
*Maintain client account balances and transactions in full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).
*Prepare and reconcile client fee ledgers.
*Process disbursements, including counsel, expert, and other third-party fees.
*Accurately input receipts into client accounts.
*Record and monitor any breaches, ensuring adherence to internal protocols.
*Support ongoing improvements to cashiering processes and workflows.
*Undertake additional ad-hoc cashiering duties as required.
Key Requirements:
*Strong Legal Cashiering experience within a law firm (ideally 4+ years).
*Excellent working knowledge of SARs and legal accounting best practice.
*Confident using accounting, banking, and matter-management systems.
*High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
