Finance Director / Head of Finance - for growing SME based in London
£75,000 - £85,000 per annum + Bonus

This opportunity is with a well-established and highly successful organisation within the Leisure & Hospitality sectors, operating solely in London.
About the Role
This is not your everyday BAU finance job! As the No.1 in Finance for a growing Leisure & Hospitality business, you’ll sit at the heart of strategy, partnering directly with the CEO and shaping what the next 3–5 years look like.
You’ll play a pivotal role in financial decision-making, driving performance through insight and strong operational control.
This role is primarily site based (4 days per week in the office and 1 day WFH) with a sensible approach to flexibility.
Duties will include:
*Leading the end-to-end forecasting process, ensuring accuracy within key performance thresholds.
*Producing and presenting financial and management reporting with sharp, meaningful insights.
*Supporting business strategy through financial modelling and operational improvements.
*Overseeing all finance operations, including compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
*Collaborating with legal and operational leads on contracts and governance.
*Managing financial close, controls, and audit readiness.
*Leading and developing the finance team, driving a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
*Supporting succession planning and talent development.
*Participating in senior leadership forums and business planning activities.
About the Successful Applicant
*A degree and full accounting qualification, with ACA / ACCA / CIMA first-time passes.
*Minimum of 6 years of post-qualified experience in senior, commercially focused finance roles.
*A skilled and experienced leader and manager of people.
*Experience working in an SME or growing business environment essential with exposure to multi trade or multi-site businesses.
*Proven financial leadership experience in a senior finance role in an SME environment (50+ staff).
*Must have a commercially minded approach with strong analytical and modelling skills
*Proven expertise in managing external finance providers or outsourced teams.
*Advanced Excel and IT proficiency, including experience with financial systems (Xero).
*Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
*Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
