Maintenance Team Leader - Food ManufacturingIlminster, Somerset | £44,000-£49,000 per annum DOE | Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm (1-hour lunch) | Full-Time
IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is recruiting a Maintenance Team Leader for a leading food manufacturing business in Ilminster. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is carried out efficiently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Duties*Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance engineers, managing performance, attendance, and development.
*Prioritise and issue daily work to site engineers, ensuring all maintenance duties meet company standards and Health & Safety procedures.
*Provide cover for breakdowns, projects, and planned preventative maintenance to improve OEE and reduce wastage.
*Manage maintenance budget, stores, work order planning, and CMMS accuracy.
*Conduct root cause analysis to reduce recurring breakdowns and improve operational efficiency.
*Support continuous improvement projects across the site.
Requirements*Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills - Essential.
*Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities - Essential.
*Hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance.
*Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) - Desirable.
*Formal electrical or mechanical qualifications (HNC/Degree) - Desirable.
