Job Description:
Nursery Teacher (QTS) | Inner London Pay | Brent
We are seeking a qualified Early Years Teacher to join a well-established nursery team in Brent from April. This is a full-time role within a large, well-resourced setting that places a strong emphasis on teamwork and shared responsibility.
You will be joining a collaborative environment where planning, assessment and day-to-day practice are shared across an experienced staff team. The setting is well equipped, including access to a sensory room and soft play facilities, and maintains a clear focus on high-quality early years provision and positive outcomes for children.
The Details
Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Full-time (Temporary to Permanent)
Salary: £40,317 - £52,300 (Inner London Pay Scale)
Pay: Weekly PAYE - no umbrella companies or hidden fees
The Role
You will be working with nursery-aged children, including some three-year-olds, across morning and afternoon sessions.
You will act as key person for a group of approximately 15-16 children, supported by experienced Level 2 and Level 3 practitioners who are well established within the setting.
The nursery benefits from strong adult-to-child ratios, including dedicated 1:1 support for children with additional needs. Practice is rooted in high-quality, play-based learning, with regular use of Tapestry to track progress. You will work closely with colleagues to identify and support SEND at an early stage.
Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
*A collaborative approach to planning and practice
*Experience supporting children with SEND
*A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
Why work with Tradewind?
We aim to make the recruitment process straightforward and transparent, with a focus on long-term fit rather than short-term placement.
PAYE only: We insist on PAYE pay, meaning no umbrella company deductions from your Inner London salary.
Professional development: Free access to over 2,500 CPD courses through The National College, supporting progression into roles such as Phonics Lead or SENCO.
Local knowledge: Our consultants know Brent well and can provide clear, honest insight into schools, settings and expectations.
Ongoing support: From interview preparation through to a potential permanent transition, you’ll have a dedicated consultant available throughout.
