Chief Operating Officer
South Norfolk | Full time | Permanent | £48,000 - £50,000
Michelle Denny Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an established organisation within the charity sector in South Norfolk with the appointment of a Chief Operating Officer.
Working closely with the CEO, this senior leadership role offers the opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven environment, strengthening organisational effectiveness, operational performance, and culture.
This is a broad, hands-on position with influence across operations, people, governance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and organisational leadership
- Strengthen internal processes, controls, and systems
- Support financial oversight, budgeting, and reporting
- Oversee governance, compliance, and risk
- Lead, support, and develop staff and volunteers
- Embed a collaborative, inclusive culture
- Translate strategic priorities into delivery
About You
You will be an experienced senior leader who combines operational strength with a people-centred, values-driven approach.
We welcome applications from those with:
- Senior leadership or operational management experience,
- Financial and governance awareness and
- Experience working within a charity, not-for-profit, CIC, or community setting
Candidates from commercial or public sector backgrounds with relevant transferable skills and an affinity for purpose-led work are also encouraged.
Hybrid working available.
