Assistant Accountant
Based: Bury
Salary: up to £35k + bonus + benefits including study support (if desired), 25 days holiday, DIS, social events, gym membership and more
We are recruiting for a progressive & ambitious service business based in Bury (close to the M66). Having placed with this business last year, we can confirm you will be working within a great & supportive finance team offering excellent exposure for your development
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the team with the role supporting the Management Accountant with month end duties & financial management of service charges, utilities, tax & business rates.
Role:
*Assisting with month end duties working closely with the Management Accountant
*Assisting with coding/posting journals, accruals, prepayments
*Bank & balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with budgets
*Managing property service charges, preparing service charge budgets & working with internal stakeholders
*Overseeing month end process for management & recharge of utility costs, council tax, business rates & ground rents
*Year end and audit support to the Finance Director and Management Accountant
Experience:
*Studying AAT, ACCA, CIMA OR QBE
*Experience within property or with service charges/utilities/rent from a finance perspective
*Experience as an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant within property highly desirable
