Job Description:
A global IT consultancy is looking for 2 part time IT Helpdesk Support professionals to provide 1st line support to staff onsite for one of their clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, delivering excellent service, and working in a fast-paced environment.
You will be the first point of contact for IT-related issues and will help ensure smooth day-to-day operation of hardware, software, and network systems.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and in person
*Log and manage support tickets through the helpdesk system
*Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues
*Set up and configure laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
*Manage user accounts (password resets, permissions, onboarding/offboarding)
*Install and update software applications
*Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or third-party providers
*Maintain accurate documentation of issues and solutions
*Support basic cybersecurity best practices (e.g., MFA setup, phishing awareness)
*Assist with IT asset management and inventory tracking
Required Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, or similar role
*Basic knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
*Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
*Understanding of basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, IP configuration)
*Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Ability to prioritise and manage workload independently
Desirable Skills
*Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management, Zendesk, Freshservice)
*Basic knowledge of Active Directory or Azure AD
*Familiarity with remote support tools
*CompTIA A+ or similar IT certification
