Joining us in Forensics

Grant Thornton’s Financial Crime & Investigations (FCI) is the first port of call for an increasing number of firms in the UK market when grappling with financial crime prevention, incident response, investigation and remediation.

Joining us as Team Lead & QA – Know Your Assets (KYA)in Forensics, you will initially work on a project delivering BAU and remedial KYA due diligence services for a large asset manager. Once this project is completed, you will have the freedom to continue working with us on projects that you choose, whether full or part-time within Forensics, and can support our clients and internal teams on short to medium-term assignments. We’re looking for Team Leads to oversee the delivery of KYA due diligence. The role combines people leadership, stakeholder engagement and technical oversight of complex due diligence activity.
Skills we are looking for*Strong team leadership and management skills, including case allocation, planning, and deal / screening alert triage.
*Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage directly with stakeholders within our client and with sensitive counterparties.
*Strong problem-solving skills, combined with attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of compliant outcomes.
*Strong understanding of due diligence and FC risk indicators.
*Experienced in interpreting KYA / DD standards and in providing technical advice and guidance to KYA Analysts. Experienced in producing MI and reporting.
*Reviewing completed due diligence / screening and preparing summaries.
*Identifying opportunities to improve team performance and enhance processes.
*Excellent communication and presentation skills, and comfortable presenting at senior forums.
*Experience in delivering on-the-job training.
*5+ years in KYA/KYC/KYB.
*2+ years in QC/QA.
*Preferred qualifications: Financial Crime qualifications (CAMS / ICA), or ICAEW / ICAS qualified or other relevant qualification.
