Who are we?

The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) is the region’s economic development delivery organisation.
From April 2026, we will lead the delivery of regionally commissioned economic development activity aligned to the West Midlands Growth Plan, working in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority and local authorities.
We are building a sharper, business-focused organisation that attracts investment, supports high-growth companies and drives measurable economic impact.

The Role

As our new Artworker, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Creative team to deliver visually compelling campaign collateral across multiple channels. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a broad range of brand-building projects, strengthen our visual identity, and directly contribute to the impact of our marketing activity.
You’ll be involved in:


*Creating High-Quality Marketing Assets- Deliver a wide range of designed materials — from brochures and posters to social media graphics, presentations, and digital content — ensuring every output is on-brand and high-quality.

*Managing Multiple Briefs and Workflows- Oversee simultaneous artwork briefs, maintain clear communication with internal teams, and ensure deadlines and production schedules are met.
*

*Maintaining Brand, Version, and Asset Control- Adhere to brand guidelines, manage amends, maintain master documents, and ensure all assets comply with legal and marketing-related requirements.


What You’ll Be Doing

*Produce high-quality artwork for a wide range of marketing materials across print and digital channels.
*Ensure all outputs align with brand guidelines and support the organisation’s visual identity.
*Manage multiple briefs, maintaining clear communication with internal clients about timelines and progress.
*Interpret feedback and apply amendments accurately, maintaining version control and documentation.
*Keep project files organised and accessible, ensuring consistency and efficient workflow management.
*Stay updated on new tools, trends, and technologies to enhance creative production.
*Maintain and update key master documents used across the business.
*Support compliance of marketing materials with legal requirements, including copyright, GDPR, and trademark law.
*Use Trello (or other project management tools) to track, manage, and prioritise workflow.


What You’ll Bring

Essential:
*Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
*Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
*Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
*Strong understanding of design principles, typography, layout, and colour theory.
*Knowledge of digital channels and file formats for web.
*Familiarity with print production processes.
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
*At least 2 years’ professional experience in an artworker or similar design-production role, supported by a strong portfolio.
Desirable:


*Experience working across a range of marketing channels.
*Additional experience in digital asset management or production workflows.
