Trainee Auditor

Job Description:
We are looking for a Trainee Auditor to join our successful and expanding team to support the delivery of Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and Compliance consultancy services, while undertaking a structured development pathway toward full Lead Auditor status.
The role is delivery-support focused, with increasing responsibility being offered as your qualifications and experience develop. As Trainee Auditor, you will work closely with the Head of People, Compliance & Quality and the Company Managing Director to support client delivery.
We are looking for candidates who would initially be looking to work with us for up to 3 days per week on a part time basis, with the potential to increase working hours in the future based on both individual and business needs.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
Audit and Consultancy Support
*Support delivery of ISO and 45001 consultancy and audit services.
*Assist in development, implementation and maintenance of client management systems.
*Participate in internal and external audits for development purposes.
*Support preparation of audit documentation, reports and corrective action plans.
*Maintain structured and accurate client compliance records
*Support with company system and process improvements
SSIP & Certification Management
*Take operational responsibility for client SSIP submissions.
*Manage compliance portals and certification platforms on behalf of clients.
*Gather, review and organise supporting evidence.
*Track renewal dates, submission deadlines and corrective actions.
*Support additional certification activity as part of ongoing professional development.
Cross-Functional Client Support
*Support clients across Health & Safety, compliance, certification and HR-related matters as directed, under the supervision and guidance of the team.
*Assist with documentation, policy updates and compliance monitoring.
*Contribute to maintaining high standards of client service and delivery.
*Gradually increase independence, accountability and client-facing responsibility.
