What You’ll Do
*Installation of a variety of types of cables (multi-core, single core and coaxial) & electrical systems (junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, switches etc.)
*Cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment
*Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
*Collaborate with shipbuilding teams to ensure the timely and efficient completion of electrical installations
*Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
What You’ll Bring
*Modern Apprenticeship - SVQ 3 or equivalent
*Relevant experience in a marine installation or major industrial installation environment
*Understanding all assessments, Risk, PUWER & COSHH
*Understanding of relevant trade drawings
*Knowledge of tag out process and the correct proving dead procedure
*Mounting of electrical equipment & components
*Earthing of equipment and termination of cables to skill standards
