Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Emergency Planning & Resilience Officer for our client a government organisation in Wembley, London.
The successful post holder will work alongside colleagues across the organisation, external partner organisations, and the public to ensure the organisation meets it’s obligations under the Civil Contingences Act. They’ll play a direct role in keeping the organisation and the borough ready to respond and recover should the worst happen.
This role is a temporary contract initially for 3 months with the possibility to extend. This role is hybrid working with 3 days in the office required per week.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
*Designing and delivering training and exercises.
*Reviewing and improving response plans.
*Collaborating with external organisations such as the emergency services and other emergency planners from across London.
*Working with local voluntary sector organisations to build community resilience.
*Helping to develop new capabilities that increase our preparedness.
Personal Requirements:
*Knowledge of local authority duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and other relevant legislation and guidance.
*Familiarity with ISO 22301.
*Strong organisational skills and an ability to bring new ideas to the team.
*Ability to interpret guidance and develop plans.
*Experience of delivering training.
*Familiarity with the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP) and the Civil Contingencies Act (2004).
Working Hours: 37hrs / Monday - Friday
Pay: £33.19 per hour
Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
