We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer to join a well-established and growing precision engineering company based in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, forward-thinking business offering competitive pay and long-term stability.

The Role

As a CNC Lathe Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances.

*Your duties will include:
*Programming CNC lathes (Fanuc controls preferred) from technical drawings
*Setting and operating machines to produce small and medium batch work
*Editing, modifying, and optimising existing programs to improve efficiency
*Selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures
*Producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
*Conducting first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
*Using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and thread gauges
*Ensuring machines are maintained and kept in safe working order
*Working collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to meet production targets

This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident working independently and taking ownership of their work from start to finish.

Candidate Requirements

*To be successful in this role, you will have:
*Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator
*Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls (essential)
*Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
*Experience working to tight tolerances
*Good understanding of tooling, feeds, and speeds
*A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
*A proactive and reliable work ethic

Experience working within precision engineering or subcontract environments would be highly advantageous.
